The post Derwent Graphitint Range first appeared on The Little Art Shop.]]> What is Graphitint? – Graphitint is the name given to a unique range of water-soluble tinted graphite that combines the drama and creativity of pencil drawings, with a hint of soft, subtle colour. Dry Graphitint produces just a suggestion of colour, but water can be added to wash out the lines and make the colour much more vibrant.
Graphitint pencils are made from water-soluble coloured graphite.
The colours are not permanent, so can be lifted and reactivated on the page- like watercolours or traditional aquarelle coloured pencils.​
Use Graphitint pencils on rough and smooth surfaces. The rough surface will give you a grainier result, which you smooth out with water, whilst the smooth paper will be great for illustrations and small details.
