Dala Podge

Dala Podge, or Modge Podge/ Mod Podge as it is also called, is a decoupage medium that is a multipurpose adhesive and sealant. For decoupage, scrapbooking and most craft projects.
In the process of decoupage, it is this high viscosity glaze that ultimately determines the quality of the decoupage work. Dala Podge has a high viscosity glaze.
Available in:
125ml; 250ml; 500ml; 1 litre; and 5 litres (on order).

Apply multiple layers of Dala ‘Podge’ with a soft brush, allowing for each coat to dry thoroughly before applying the next coat.
Apply each layer at a right angle to the last.
Can be gently sanded using waterproof sand paper.
Can be sealed using a Dala Varnish, such as a High Gloss or Heat Resistant option.
Clean up using water while brushes are still wet.

Dala Artist’s Impasto Medium

Impasto mediums are ideal for thickening oil paints. One of the best benefits of using an impasto medium is that it dries evenly without cracking or wrinkling. It does not waste paint, yet still produces the desired pigment.
Dala Impasto Medium is a matt, quick-drying medium which adds texture and body to artwork and extends paint colour. Suitable for use with acrylics and oils.

Dala’s Artists’ Impasto Medium is a relief agent used for exaggerating textures and colours
It is a matt; quick drying medium that adds texture and body to paint. It also extends paint colour and is yellow resistant.
Suitable for relief and textural work, and most suited to work with artist’s oil colour, though can be used successfully in conjunction with acrylic colour.
Artists Impasto Medium will help to accelerate the paints drying time (touch dry in 1-6 days) though this is dependent on colour of the paint, thickness at which it is applied, and weather conditions.

Zelcol Impasto Medium

Zellen Cold Wax Medium

Zellen Cold Wax Medium is a translucent, wax-based oil painting medium made from natural waxes, white spirits and alkyd resin.
An excellent medium to create a variety of textures within a painting.
Used to thicken oil paints, and creates a matte transparent appearance. The alkyd resin aids in reducing drying time.
Mix with oil paints or powder pigments to create the texture and colours required.

Winsor & Newton Liquin

Winsor & Newton Liquin original is a general-purpose semi-gloss medium that speeds drying, improves flow, and reduces brush stroke retention. It dries to a gloss finish. It is a reliable favourite among artists.
Because it makes it makes oil paint dry faster, it enables you to work in layers more easily, since you should ideally wait for each paint layer to dry before adding more on top of it.

Zellen Zel-kin

Zel-kin (Zelkin) is a quick-drying oil modified alkyd resin. It is a translucent soft gel. It accelerated the drying time of oil paint and has a good flow characteristic. Use this medium to make your colours flow better and look more transparent. It is also recommended for glazing.

Dala Artists Oil Painting Medium

Artists’ Oil Painting Medium is a drying medium for artists’ oil colour. It increases gloss and transparency, while accelerating drying time.
Add Dalas Artists’ Oil Painting Medium to oil colour a few drops at a time, until a desirable consistency has been acheived.
Clean brushes with warm soapy water.

Dala Stand Oil

Dala Artists’ Stand Oil is a clear, thick carrier oil for artists’ oil colour.
It is a thicker version of Artists’ Linseed Oil, that improves gloss and enhances the paints colour intensity, producing an enamel like finish.
It also enhances flexibility and encourages levelling on the painted surface.
Can be diluted with artists’ turpentine to increase the flow of the paint.
It is resistant to yellowing.

Dala Linseed Oil

The general or most commonly used oil painting mediums include Linseed Oil, Liquin and Walnut Oil. Linseed Oil is the most traditional medium for oil painting. It enhances the flow of paint and adds a glossy finish. It dries relatively slowly, allowing for longer working times.

Linseed oil is also used to protect and maintain interior and exterior woods, concrete and is one of the main ingredients in many paints and varnishes. It is a natural oil, so not as bad for the environment as many other solvent based finishes – and has a variety of other uses from furniture finish to treating wooden floors.
